"It was a Tuesday in 2019. My best electrician texted at 6am: 'Can't make it today. Family emergency.' He was supposed to be running a crew of four at a site in East London.
I spent the next 4 hours on the phone. Called 11 people. Texted another 8. Half didn't answer. Two were already booked. One showed up late. By the time the site was covered, I'd missed breakfast, missed the school run, and my wife had stopped talking to me.
I searched for software that could fix this. Everything I found was built for office workers, or required my crew to use apps they'd never touch, or cost more than the job was worth.
So I built HeyTeam. Every feature comes from a real problem I had on a real site. The SMS backup exists because apps fail on construction sites. The auto-replacement exists because I never want anyone to spend 4 hours on the phone again."
